How to Attach the Expansion Pads?
The included expansion pads help the cup holder base fit more securely in larger or slightly wider cup holders. If the mount feels loose after installation, attach the expansion pads to the outside of the cup holder base to improve the fit.
Step 1: Check the Fit First
Place the cup holder mount into your vehicle’s cup holder and press it down gently. If the base feels loose or does not sit firmly, the expansion pads may be needed.
Step 2: Attach the Expansion Pads
Peel off the protective backing from each expansion pad. Then attach the pads evenly to the outer sides of the cup holder base.
For best results, place the pads on opposite sides of the base so the pressure is balanced when the mount is inserted into the cup holder.
Step 3: Press the Base Into the Cup Holder
After attaching the expansion pads, insert the mount back into the cup holder. Press the base down firmly until it sits securely.
Step 4: Check Stability Before Use
Before placing your tablet or device on the holder, gently move the mount by hand to make sure it feels stable. If needed, adjust the pad position or add the extra pads for a tighter fit.
Helpful Tip
Cup holder sizes and shapes vary by vehicle. The expansion pads are designed to help improve the fit, especially in cup holders that are slightly larger than the base.
